    Answer of this question is not clear. According to United Nations report on 2010, around 24% of India’s geographical area (~68 Million hectares) is forest land.

    According to 2013 report of Forest Survey of India provides data that total forest cover of India is 69.8 Million hectares.

    India is among the lowest forest land per kilometer area in the world. India has 16% population of world while it has only 2% of geographic area is forest land.

    The forest land area is changing every year in India because of increasing in population, industrialization and human development works. Thought government of India and forest ministry initiated many programs to enhance forestation across the nation.
